Removing A Front Lower Wishbone On A Fiat 500
In order to replace a front lower wishbone on a 500 the front bumper needs to be removed. This guide is based on the LEFT side wishbone.

![]() | Undo the x4 wheel bolts to both front wheels and remove the wheels. |

![]() | Unscrew the x3 T30 screws to the under lip of the front bumper... |

![]() | ...and the x1 Phillips screw at each end. |
|
![]() | On the right side wheel arch liner remove the inspection cover (other wise this will probably pop out when you pull the liner back). |

![]() | Unscrew the x2 Phillips on the outer edge of the wheel arch. |
|
![]() | Pull back the wheel arch liner to unplug the headlight connector (and the fog light if it has one). |

![]() | There's a T30 holding the corner of the bumper to the wing. |
|
The last screws securing the bumper are the x4 T30 across the top. |

![]() | To remove the bumper separate the bumper clip from the wing at both corners. |

![]() | On the LEFT side of the vehicle undo the x2 15mm bolts to the vertical support bracket. |
|
![]() | Undo the x4 15mm bolts to the lower cross rail. |
|
![]() | There's a 16mm bolt to the side of the cross rail support arm... |
|
![]() | ...and x2 18mm bolts on the underneath. |
|
![]() | Remove the support arm. |
|
![]() | The pinch bolt and nut to the wishbone ball joint are both 17mm. |
|
![]() | Using a lever bar prise the ball joint from the pillar. |
|
![]() | Loosen the 18mm bolt to the rear wishbone mount. |
|
![]() | Undo the 18mm bolt to the front wishbone mount. |
|
![]() | Now lever out the front wishbone mount as you rotate it on the rear bolt. |
|
![]() | Remove the rear wishbone bolt and lever out the wishbone. |
